Dear Students,

Assalamu 'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

In order to commemorate the annual African University Day Celebrations from 7th -12th November 2016, IOU is pleased to announce our participation in this prestigious event. The Day is celebrated by higher education institutions since year 2006 to present a unique platform for promotion of critical dialogue among stakeholders on how to improve higher education in Africa.

Furthermore, the African University Day is an initiative of the Association of African Universities (AAU), where IOU is a full member institution. The Day is celebrated around mid November. On that day, African universities, particularly those that are members of the Association of African Universities (AAU), organize different activities to reflect upon and celebrate the role and contribution of African universities to the development of the continent and humanity in general.

This year’s theme is Entrepreneurial Learning and Communities of Practice which seeks to explore solutions relating to the churning out of graduates who can make a difference in their communities through problem solving.

 

Based on this theme, IOU will present an open for all workshop on Leadership that will equip you with the skills to be a true leader in a community by imbibing the right values. Make the most of this event by being a part of it and drawing important tips from our experienced speaker for the evening, Br. Mansoor Danish, in shaa Allah.
